Voice Actions Application, Enables Speak with Android

Google has released an application that lets people speak commands to deliver Android based smartphone in doing tasks such as sending emails and text messages, make calls and even get driving directions.

Users can dictate emails and text messages, make calls by simply speaking the name or business contacts, find and play the requested songs, search the website and even the direction of the map.

Voice Actions is a series of verbal commands that allow you to control your phone using your voice, said Hugo Barra, a Google product manager.

"Although our phones do all new things, the most natural way to interact with the phone fixed what has always been: talk."

Google says Voice Actions are only available for devices running the latest 2.2 Android operating system, dubbed "Froyo," and can be downloaded from the Android Market.

This feature will come pre-installed on new Motorola Droid 2 for Verizon and is expected to be added to the Evo HTC and Incredible when they get an upgrade.

Internet search giant Google hopes Android applications Voice Actions to add momentum to sales. In recent months, the company has added an application that only runs on Android - like Goggles, who translated the text in the picture, and Sky Map, which displays the constellations in the night sky.
